I have been a personal trainer since 1996 and enjoy working with “first time” clients who have never lifted a weight in their lives, as well as advanced athletes looking to improve their level of muscularity or performance in a given sport. I started doing natural bodybuilding in 1996 when my personal training took off. I really enjoy the level of effort and reward that accompany contest preparation and believe that it makes me a more ambitious trainer.
I am also an avid ultramarathoner running several marathons (boston qualified), 50k and 100 mile races, winning my last two 24 hour races with 106 and 115 miles. Also competitive in indoor rowing (currently ranked #1 in the U.S. in the 500 meter distance), I’m very close to a new World record.
My goal is to encourage my clients to follow an intelligently formulated plan to push their bodies to higher levels. I am very goal oriented and keep paper work on all of my clients in order to document their progress. Whether your goals are weight loss, muscular development, functional strength, or postural correction, I will get you there!
In addition to my life experience as a competitive natural bodybuilder, I hold three training certifications. I am certified through the National Gym Association (NGA), the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and the American Academy of Health, Fitness, and Rehab Professionals (AAHFRP).
